Situated on 12 acres in beautiful North Georgia, VDK features over 26,000 square feet of canine housing, canine care, canine reproduction, canine training, canine conditioning, handler education classroom, and cooperate offices.
VDK CTC has been meticulously thought out and designed to created unique environmental situations that expose, train, and test our single purpose and multipurpose canines.

Handler education classrooms provide handlers a climate controlled environment the hosts both classic text book, as well as interactive PowerPoint slides.

Our instructors are some of the best in the industry, bosting in depth canine knowledge and proficiency in creating complex multi-layered behaviors. As well as having the technical and operational experience needed to provide handlers the skillsets they need to preform their job.

NARCOTICS DETECTION CANINE (NDC)
EXPLOSIVES DETECTION CANINE (EDC)

This single purpose detection course is designed to teach handlers the skill sets needed to effectively utilized, deploy, and maintain a high proficiency detection canine. Handler education will include academics, handler exercises, and operational scenarios. All canines will learn a passive alert with handler education on the proper use of primary, secondary rewards, and indirect rewards. Indirect rewards being crucial for a safe effective EDC Team.

Multipurpose K9
Our Patrol and Detection course is designed to give your handlers the skill sets they need to effectively utilize and deploy their canine in a multitude of situations. Handlers are instructed through a rigorous course that includes academics, practical exercises, and intense operational scenarios. Patrol work will include deployment scenarios, along with proper targets of opportunity during apprehensions. Tracking, including rural and urban environments. Detection with various environments, including proper use of primary, secondary and indirect rewards. Handlers will also be taught basic decoy agitator work.
